FAQs

What should I bring on a WDOA fishing trip?

– food and drink of your choice

– a fishing license

– a cooler to take home your catch

That’s it! We take care of the gear, bait, and life jackets.

Where can I get a license?

Depending on how often you’d like to fish, you can purchase a one-day, two-day, or annual fishing license from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). Licenses are available for purchase on the WDFW website, but may take up to 10 days to arrive by mail. You can also visit an authorized license dealer to get your license the same day. Use this handy tool from WDFW to find the dealer nearest you! Sportsman’s Warehouse, Fred Meyer, and Walmart are locations that WDOA customers have used in the past.

What should I wear?

We recommend dressing in layers. It is usually colder in the morning than you would expect, and hotter in the afternoon. For your specific fishing date, you can consult John about the weather forecast and what to expect.

Do I need to have experience fishing?

Not at all! White Dog Outdoor adventures customizes our trips for all skill levels, from first time fishermen to seasoned anglers.
